Natural history information from Bison-M species profiles can be
viewed by clicking on the species number indicated in the table
below. Click on the globe icon below to view habitat distribution models generated by SWReGAP (http://fws-nmcfwru.nmsu.edu/swregap/)
for terrestrial and aquatic vertebrate species that are
indicative of the diversity and health of New Mexico's wildlife
(SGCN are inclusive in this list). A pdf reader is required to view
distribution models and can be downloaded by clicking on the pdf
icon above. Accurate
spatial depictions of suitable habitats for molluscs,
crustaceans, and other arthropods in New Mexico are not
available. See Chapter 2 in the Comprehensive Wildlife
Conservation Strategy for New Mexico for details on how these
models were constructed. Species without a
distribution map icon indicates that spatial data for that
species is not available. Likewise, missing Bison-M
species account numbers indicates species accounts are
unavailable..
